[ARCHIVE] MOGNET TV❢ ✰ state of the world, march '14
[Sometime today whilst looking at your rune, you may notice something... different. There's a symbol flashing in the corner. It looks kind of like a moogle's silhouette - or their head and pompom, anyway - now that you're looking at it...
Whenever and for whatever reason you do, when you push that symbol, you'r greeted with a video feed of five moogles, sat in what looks to be an office, or television studio, of some description. The one wearing green clears his throat.]
Hello everybody, kupo! My name is Mogoro. I'm the head moogle over here at Mognet TV! These are my co-workers, kupo. Mogni, our journalist, [the moogle wearing a blue bow curtsies,] Mogana, our technician, [the moogle wearing a startlingly bright pair of pink glasses and a flower in her hair salutes,] Stilka, our advertisement specialist, [the moogle wearing a black business suit with black sunglasses (chillingly) nods,] and Sono, our interviewer! [the moogle in red sort of... shakes a little, and then he mumbles a kupo.]
Our mission statement here at Mognet is to bring you monthly news of the goings on in the Havens, kupo! As today is our first broadcast, it'll be a little shorter than normal, kupo, so we can give you this little introduction to who we are. I'm sure most of you know what happened this month anyway!
One last bit of house-keeping, kupo! Stilka needs your advertisements, so be sure to submit them!
Havens Today With Mogoro
• At the start of the month, we defeated the World-Eater, kupo! Or was it earlier than that? Time was really weird for a while there, kupo...
• About a week later, the continent was restored. But not as we remembered it, kupo - a lot of places were missing, and it's up to us to find them all again.
• Some progress has been made on that, kupo! We've managed to find Seahaven, Canyscia, and the Moonflow, as well as several new places! Some people were dropped off in a place called the Gold Saucer, kupo. There was a bit of upset about one of the crane games, but it's all been smoothed over now.
• If you check your rune map, it's becoming clearer to the west now, kupo! But the Gold Saucer, kupo? It seems to be a long way from where the World-Eater fell, kupo... I wonder just how far...
• Aside from drop offs of new arrivals, kupo, no one has seen the dragons since the day before we woke up here. Even we haven't, kupo! The drop-off dragons are being even more mysterious than usual, and it means a lot more work for us too, kupo.
Rumours With Mogni
[Mogni seems perplexed, adjusting the blue bow on the front of her fur.] I don't have many rumours to give you today, kupo! Everyone's so busy trying to get home, I've been relying on the other moogles to tell me what they've seen, but a lot of that's old hat, kupo. [She shakes her head.]
But a journalist never fails, kupo! There's gotta be something here! [She grabs hold of a pile of paper and begins flicking through it at top speed. It's amazing she can read any of that, but apparently, she can.] Oh, here's a little bit of intel, kupo!
• The rune map is slowly filling in again, but it seems that there's more than one continent now! Maybe even more than two, kupo?! But no one's gotten that far south yet. Maybe someone should go take a look! A very reliable source tells me they saw mountains and desert that way. Maybe your homes are there, kupo?
• Be careful when you do get home! It seems a lot of places have suffered damage, kupo! That's what Mogwin says, anyway...
• How could I forget, kupo!! My friend Megina gave me some disturbing news too! She says she saw some dying havens!
• 'But Mogni!', you cry, 'those went away with the World-Eater, kupo!'. I don't know either, kupo, but it seems the place where we arrived hasn't recovered either. It still looks really dead, kupo! Someone should go and check it out! Megina said they one she saw were nothing quite like that, though. Much smaller, kupo! But not all of it has recovered... what are the dragons up to, kupo?
